Crafting Success: Developing & Implementing An Inside Sales Job Campaign

While at DALY Computers, I was given the opportunity to create a LinkedIn campaign for an Inside Sales Account Executive job. The first thing I did when creating this campaign was research. This showed me what potential job-seekers were looking for, so I could craft a campaign to deliver.

First, job seekers needed to know that DALY was a great place to work. So, I used social media to show employees that we appreciated them. This was done through a series of monthly posts that welcomed new employees as well as a monthly series that congratulated employees on work anniversaries. These posts were well-received and boosted morale within the company.

Second, my research had shown that including things like compensation and benefits were crucial in attracting qualified candidates to positions, but were not included in previous job ads. So, I talked with HR and stressed the importance of including things like pay and benefits in job descriptions.

Next, I created a targeted LinkedIn ad for the Inside Sales Account Executive position, and strategically targeted people in LinkedIn who may be interested. This ad would point to the job description, which includes compensation and benefits. In addition, job seekers would see employee appreciation posts on social media.

Results
The  LinkedIn campaign I created generated a click-through rate of 2.15% compared to the previous highest rate of 1.5% and an average rate of 0.17%. This successful campaign significantly addressed the company’s hiring challenges by attracting qualified applicants, resulting in a successful hire for the position.
